Bulgaria is perhaps the most improved ski holiday destination over the past decade, with the its three main resorts undergoing huge investment and transformations to become some of the most desirable and affordable ski holidays around.
It is worth noting however, if you are looking for a week of top notch accommodation with quaint little alpine villages we would not recommend Bulgaria for you. 5-star hotels are few and far between and it is certainly not the place to go if your favourite après-ski activity is top shop till you drop.
However, if what you are looking to save a few pounds on your ski holiday this year and still keep have a great time on the slopes and enjoy some late night partying then Bulgaria may be the one for you. You can pick up a bottle of beer for less than a Euro and bottle of good wine is around 5 Euro, which makes it the cheapest ski destination in all of Europe.
