Soldeu
Soldeu is a great all round resort for all abilities, with lively nightlife and with some the best accommodation in Andorra, which are all good distances from the Gondola. It’s a rustic looking village with a large selection of restaurants and bars.

Based in the Andorran Pyrenees and part of the Grandvalira ski area. Soldeu has some good bars but if you’re looking for lively après ski, Pas de la Casa is more suited for the lively nightlife. Nearby El Tarter is much quieter, but still has easy access to the same ski areas. Soldeu is well located in the centre of the 5 resorts that make up the Grandvalira.
On the Piste
With access to 193km of pistes and runs, the Grandvalira area has a modern lift system which would suit boarders and experienced skiers. Soldeu has good nursery slopes for beginners and the ski school (Andorra in general) is considered to be the best in Europe. With 110 runs and the longest at 8km it is an extensive ski area, as access to Pas de la Casa is extremely easy. The runs in Soldeu are mainly easy, whereas Pas runs are more tough. If you are a fast skier you can ski the Grandvalira in a day, as the lifts have few queues even in half term. There is also snow park for boarders.
Apres Ski
Apres ski in Soldeu is lively and relatively cheap as alcohol is duty free. Here are some of the top bars and pubs to visit during your stay:
T Bar – located on the main street near loaded snowboard shop. Highly recommended. Make sure you try the ‘Upside Down Shots Challenge’.
Esqui-pub Piolet – located in the basement of the Abhotel Piolets at the bottom end of the village and is a good place for large noisy parties. Music tends to be techno, dance and house and Tuesday night is resort party night.
The Aspen Bar – English pub open daily from 2pm to 2:30am which shows all sport events on TV, also live music on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Avalanche - open from 3:30pm to 3am and has a good live show on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings (starting time 10:30pm).
Iceberg – karaoke on Fridays and a 3-hour happy hour (two drinks for the price of one) from 9pm-12pm on Wednesdays. Other happy hours 4pm-6 and 9-10pm.
