Arinsal
Arinsal is the perfect beginners ski resort with plenty of nursery slopes and easy intermediate slopes to improve your skiing. Part of the Vallnord area it is a small village with a good choice of restaurants, a few shops and good nightlife. If you want something a bit tougher the nearby Arcalis area offers plenty to test the expert.
The Slopes
There has been significant investment into the area to improve the pistes, faster chairlifts and more snow cannons guaranteeing snow cover. The lift pass also includes the Pal area, which is a small village on the edge of the mountain around 5km from Arinsal. The skiing here is different to Pas which very much a wooded are with wide tree-lined runs. Arinsal has very little wooded area and is much narrower. Both areas are reasonably quiet during the week and only get busy with locals at the weekend. Arinsal offers wide open safe skiing for children and early intermediates, with all runs leading back into the main chairlift.
Crystal Ski offer a Free lift passes for children under 11, and also a first time skiing pass which offer a 6 day lift pass and boot hire with 5 3 hour ski lessons.
